I had this thought today reflecting on the pro-life march that happened earlier: that the pro-life movement is connected or at least similar to the temperance movement in American history and that it…Continue

It's a strange crossroads that I've found myself. It all started last week when I received a text message seemingly out of the blue from my stepmother. She had been looking at something online and I guess decided that she should suggest I check out William Lane Craig's Reasonable Faith. I told her that I was well aware of the man and his arguments and I received in reply the "I'm worried about your eternal soul" conversation only that she used the word "future" instead of "eternal soul", but…

I wrote this for an English assignment just recently about the death of my sister and how it's affected me. I wanted to share it with all of you, because I may not be the only one who feels this way about a loved one's death. It's strange, the grieving process. Some days I'm ok. Some days I'm not.
Here it is:
It was a warm Sunday,
a quiet weekend,
a day like any other.
Lightning strikes.
The phone rings.
I…

So I stumbled across a Platonic writer by the name of Celsus from the 2nd century who wrote a damning critique of Christianity back in his day. It turns out many of the problems with Christianity have been around as long as the religion itself! Unfortunately, the original work was lost, but a Christian writer, Origen, wrote a counter argument where he quoted Celsus extensively. Those quotes have been translated into…

I've been thinking lately about moving back home. I will be there soon after eight years and thousands of miles of being away. My father the other day on the phone said that we needed to have a “long talk” when I get back. He never referred to what it was that he needed to talk about, but it's got me thinking about what it could be. At this point, it could be a lot of things, so I've tried to keep myself from speculating. My father, for those of you who don't…

Hi SH, i wanted to contribute a couple of information to Sunday School from where i'm from. I don't want to use the group because it would be sent to everyone. Keep in mind that this information is in Spanish, so if you want to read it you need to use google site translator in google chrome.
Profamily, a secular, private organization that was sent to trial by the catholic church for ads promoting the use of condoms and safe sex because, in their word, would lead to abortion and rebellion. Profamily won the trial
A polish catholic priest was accused of raping at least 14 children in Juncalito community in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The catholic church quickly suspend him, and move him back to Poland with False documents.
Barack Obama named James 'Wally' Brewster, a gay activist, as ambassador to Dominican Republic. Catholics and protestants quickly reject him, while saying nothing about the pederast priest. Dominican gays respond in support of ambassador Brewster and call out the churches for inciting hate and making them responsible if anything happens to Brewster. The government accepted anyways. (if it was asked, of course)
